Lean on me
When you're not strong
I'll give you hope
I'll help you carry on
We all need somebody to lean on.
from the song
Nothing
is more true than this song when it comes to grandparents raising
grandchildren. Together we can ease the pain, share the good
times and help one another to grow and be the best we can be
for our grandchildren, our families and ourselves. To be with
others who know exactly what we are going through is so healing.
Some have been there and done that and can help us past the
rough spots and can give us hope that we too can not only survive
this new adventure of raising grandchildren but flourish and
bring forth a new generation of responsible human beings. What
better goal could a person have.
Below is a

The Grandparents Rights Organization has been in existence since
1984. We are a nonprofit (501c) organization that advocates and works for
laws to protect the grandparent/grandchild relationship. I have personally
taken (pro bono) the case where Michigan's Court of Appeals ruled our grandparent
visitation statute unconstitutional to our Supreme Court. Presently we
are waiting for a ruling from our high court. To get more information about
our organization you can access our website at: grandparentsrights.org.
Thank you for adding us to your resource list.
