Who we are, What we do, and Why we do it!
In 1996 Stephanie Pierce, Bill Hicks, and Sue Miles found each other
on the web and formed a friendship built out of love for the grandchildren
they are raising. Together these three formed a web site designed to bring
together, in love and support, grandparents and special others who are
raising children due to the failure of the parents who gave birth to them.
Today GrandsPlace is has grown from that tiny site to a web site
that serves up an average of 150,000 pages a month of information and support
services to grandparents and special others. This would not be possible
without our fantastic staff of volunteers who make up the Board of Directors
of GrandsPlace. |
